We are now offering semi-custom web design using WordPress.
What is semi-custom website design?
A semi–custom website is a plug-and-play solution that uses pre-existing themes, plugins, and templates available for purchase. There is minimal customization that can be done to a plug-and-play theme. Color schemes can be changed and some some layout options.
What platform is used for my new website?
Semi-custom websites are hosted using an individual hosting company such as bluehost or siteground while your actual website will be built using wordpress.org. WordPress.org has no monthly subscription. Your only costs will be your hosting plan, you can choose from multiple hosting plans and payment options.
What is included in a Semi-Custom Web Design Package?
- Installation of child theme + Genesis Framework
- Installation & set-up of theme suggested plugins and extra plugins that are beneficial to your site & brand
- Home Page featuring you, your novels, call to action, reviews
- Site title styling or integration of your logo; and favicon
- Set up of About, Events, Contact and Blog Pages
- Set Up of Book Series & Individual Book Pages
- Set Up of Where to buy buttons
- Set up of Email Newsletter Pop Up
- Social Sharing buttons
- Organized navigation menu
- Heading/Title styling
- Design & Placement of customized Graphics
- Content Input
- Additional Fees – Cost of Theme You Chose (You will be billed seperatley
How much does semi-custom web design cost?
I offer semi-custom web design for the following pricing:
- $500 if you’ve purchased a complete branding package from me.
- $550 if you have no purchased branding from me, but have your own logo and branding you’d like to use.
- $650 if you need a new complete branding package from me.
+ the cost of your approved by me theme. (Themes can range from $50-$100)
Payment plans are available in the following plan:
- Deposit
- Remaining balance 7 days before your scheduled date.
Your semi-custom design will not be started until your invoice is paid in full.
Can I use my old domain name?
Yes! If you’ve paid for a domain name (ex: www.domain.com ; www.domain.net, etc) You can transfer your paid domain over to your new hosting.
What do you need from me to get started?
- Any Signing Events
- About Me
- Social Media Links
- All Book Covers
- All Book Links, including Audiobook links if desired
- Book Blurbs
- Book Series Breakdown with each Series Name, Each Book Title within that Series and which number book it is within the series
You will also recieve a Web Design Questionnaire and a Website Content Planner.
Can I use Divi as my theme?
Yes! Divi is a great way of website customization, but when it comes to custom website design, it falls at a much higher price point. Divi requires hours of design work as it is fully customizable. My current website is made with Divi.
Custom Divi Websites are priced at $1000 and do not include the Divi subscription.
You would have to purchase your own Divi Subscription. 🙂
What if I am a DIY-er and would rather customize the website by myself?
If you are a Do-it-yourselfer, no problem! I also offer a theme install where I will set up your website exactly as it looks on the demo with the demo content and you can get to work making it your own!
Theme Installs cost $250 and include the following:
- Installation of child theme + Genesis Framework
- Installation of Plugin’s
- Set up like Demo Theme
How far are you booked out for website design?
Currently, with a full graphic design workload, including book covers, formatting, branding, and other various projects, I am limited to book one semi-custom website design per month.
